Dr. Lynn Cohick is associate Professor of New Testament at Wheaton College, Wheaton, IL. She is interested in how average Jews and Christians lived out their faith in the ancient setting of Hellenism and the Roman Empire. In her doctoral work, she studied an Easter homily written by a second century figure Melito of Sardis. She examined the author's use of the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) to explain Jesus Christ, and his portrayal of Christians' relationships with Jews. Dr. Cohick is also interested in how women celebrated their religions in the ancient world, and how that might help contemporary women in their faith. Jhan Moskowitz, North American Director, was born and raised in the Bronx in New York City. From his refugee parents, he learned at an early age what it means to be a Jew. He was disenchanted with religion in his teens, but was committed to the survival of his people and became a short-term volunteer on a kibbutz in Israel. It was there that he became a seeker. He found his answer in 1971 when he came to terms with God through His Messiah, Jesus. Read More...

One of Abraham Kuyper's most famous quotes is: "There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is sovereign over all, does not cry: Mine!" This quote gets to the heart of the way I view theology and the Christian faith. It is important to recognize that our faith is not reserved for some kind of Christian ghetto. It ought to impact every facet of our lives and society. I hope to create this kind of passion in students as they study theology, a truly exciting subject.

My new life verse as of the past 5 years is Jonah 3:1. God has taught me the past few years of my life that "His grace is TRULY greater than my sin." As long as we are alive, God's will for us does not change. Jonah ran and ran and ran from God and was even willing to kill himself before he would do what God wanted of him. But once God was finished fixing his mind in the belly of that great fish, God's will for Jonah was exactly the same as it was before he ran. HE never changes but we do if we let Him have His way.
